In honour of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the most inspirational women who have made a positive impact in my life. Amongst these women, I'm very fortunate to have
both my mum and my mother-in-law guiding me, advising me and supporting me every step of the way.
My mother has always been my role model and source of inspiration. Throughout the many challenges in her life, she's always remained resilient, gracious and determined to achieve her goals. My mother-in-law was the first female Asian primary school teacher in Leicester, England as well as the first Asian female Lord Mayor in the United
Kingdom. So I've had first hand experience at watching women breaking down barriers.
There are many other women who have made a difference in the world, and their stories continue to motivate women around the world, they're known for challenging the status quo and making lives easier for women today . A few of these women are: - Emmeline Pankhurst - Rosa Parks - Marie Curie - Margaret Thatcher - Indira Gandhi
On this International Women's Day and throughout Women's History Month, let us celebrate their achievements and continue to strive for gender equality and empowerment for all women.
